Web Site To Do

Short Term

- Correct more typos.

- Create page for what to do with 23andMe data.

For Later

Script where you upload your raw data and get calculation of risk based on the dozens of dementia-associated SNPS!

Evaluating evidence page. (See https://www.apoe4.info/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=719.)

Done

- Clicking on R's beautiful icon in the forums goes back to the forum, not to the highest level (index.html). That should probably be changed, no? Normal behavior seems to be to click on the website's icon and go to the highest level. ......This returns you to the main page of the FORUM. If someone is deep in a thread but wants to return to the main page that is how they do it. They don't necessarily want to go back to the Main website page. The other alternative is to open the forum up in a new page.

- Figure out why the wiki pages are loading so slowly! ......Not slow now.

- Rory tells Bri where the config. settings for the wiki are....Sent

- Forum: Why can't I attach/upload RTF or DOC files? When I try, I get: ....Fixed

"The extension doc is not allowed."

Is there some other place to upload Word files? That seems like an essential function for us to have.

- Write expanded "Info" page (which might end up being called something other than "Info").

- Decide where to discuss wiki development. Separate forum topic? Email list (which it seems Hostgator offers)?

- Change file upload size limit. 40 KB is way too small.

- Change text on left at Info.html.

It should read:

"Having the APOE ε4 variant is a risk factor and does not mean you will get any disease associated with it. There are homozygous APOE ε4 carriers who, even at age 80, do not possess symptoms of dementia or any other disease associated with the ε4 variant."

Notes

If we want to switch from WikiMedia to TikiWiki, there's a program that converts all your WikiMedia content to TikiWiki format, so we can always switch later if we want to!

Wiki To Do

- Encourage other members/friends to contribute.

This is our wiki!

- Add (and encourage others to add...) names of APOE-aware healthcare practitioners to the new list. (Simple.)

- Create some sort of "Wiki To Do" list for more general use! (This is just my own personal to do list.)
